Privacy
Policy.
SayvSpot saves the places you find in social videos to your own map. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the app, and the choices you have. SayvSpot is run by Jet Studio LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us").
The short version. We keep what you save so we can show it back to you. Your map is private unless you share a list. We don't run ads, we don't use tracking or analytics tools, and we never sell your data.
1. What we collect
- Your account. Your email address, your display name and your password (stored scrambled by our login provider; nobody at SayvSpot can read it). If you use SayvSpot without signing up, we create a guest account with no email.
- What you save. The links you paste, the places you save, your notes and tags, your ratings ("Want to go", "Been", "Beat the hype" and so on), your placelists and trip dates.
- Details from the posts you save. The creator's public name or handle, the post's caption and text, the tips we find in it, and one small preview image of the post.
- Screenshots you add. Sent to be read for place names, then discarded. We don't keep them.
- If you join the waitlist on our website: your email address and the date you joined. Nothing else.
- Your plan. Whether you're on Free or Plus, and how many saves you've used this month.
- Your location. Used on your phone to show you on the map and for "Near me". We don't store it on our servers.
2. Why we use it
- To run SayvSpot: find the places in a post, put them on your map with the creator's tip, and keep your account, lists and limits working.
- To reply when you contact us.
- To send one email to the waitlist when SayvSpot launches.
- To keep the service secure and stop abuse.
If you're in the EU or UK: we rely on our contract with you to provide the app, and on our legitimate interest in keeping it secure.
3. What other people can see
Nobody but us sees the waitlist. Your map, notes, ratings and creator track records are private to you. If you share a placelist, anyone with its link can see the list's name, its places and tips, the creators credited, their preview images and your display name. You can make a list private again at any time, and the link then stops working.
4. How long we keep it
Until you delete it, or your account. Deleting your account permanently removes your spots, lists, notes, ratings and stored preview images. Our providers may keep backups for a short time before they're overwritten. Place details from Google are kept no longer than Google's terms allow. Waitlist addresses are deleted once the launch email has gone out, or sooner if you ask.
5. Your choices and rights
- See and change your data in the app at any time.
- Delete your account in the app: You, then Settings, then Delete account.
- Get a copy. Plus exports a spreadsheet in one tap, and anyone can email us for a free copy of their data.
- Leave the waitlist any time by emailing us.
- Ask us to correct or delete anything, or to stop using it, by emailing support@sayvspot.com.
- You can also complain to your local data protection authority — in Singapore, the Personal Data Protection Commission; in the EU or UK, your national regulator.
6. Children
SayvSpot isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has an account, email us and we'll delete it.
7. Security
Data travels encrypted, database rules let each account reach only its own data, and our service keys live on our servers, never in the app. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat this as our first priority.
8. Who helps us run SayvSpot
A few service providers help us run SayvSpot. They may use your data only to provide their service to us:
- hosting, our database and sign-in;
- an AI service that reads a post's text, and any screenshots you add, to find the places named in it;
- a maps service that looks up those places — it receives place names and searches, not your account;
- the platform a post comes from, or a data provider, for the public details of a post you paste;
- our website host, which also stores the waitlist;
- Apple, for Plus payments. We never see your card details.
Some of them work outside your country, including in the United States. Email us for the current list of providers.
9. If you're a creator
If one of your public posts was saved to SayvSpot and you'd like its preview image and details removed, email us the link to the post and we'll remove them.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and we'll tell you in the app about any significant change.
